WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BLOG AND A WEBSITE ?

Most Newbies Confuse!

Hahaha… Some friends think having “Blogspot.com” or “WordPress.com” ending the URL is what makes a blog. They would say “goodwritings.com” is a website while “amazing.blogspot.com” or “amazing.wordpress.com” is a blog.

Wrong notion!

Here’s the truth, a blog can be hosted (i.e. “amazing.wordpress.com”) or self- hosted (i.e.”amazing.com”). Also, a website can be hosted (i. e. “amazing.wordpress.com) or self-hosted (i. e. “amazing.com”). The real difference is a website is not frequently updated with new content, has largely static content on the homepage while a blog is frequently chronologically update with news contents with the most recent appearing at the top.

There are many differences between a blog and website. Share others you know in the comment box below
