when sufferings knocks at your door and you say there is no seat for him, he tells you not to worry because he has brought his own stool said by Chinua Achebe; sufferings has settled in Africa peacefully, life of indwellers has been ruined because of you sufferings; we don’t see way to get free of you sufferings, please suffering leave people free otherwise we are perishing.
No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion; black kill blacks, it happened in south Africa; it is time to embrace our blacks and unite together to fight our enemy sufferings. Mass killings still the issue, peace has been lost in jungle; people are suffering of conflicts see in Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo; refugee’s explosion still in progress but when these sufferers would be proud of their continent; why slaughtering one another, when we could sit and settle our problems. “Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime” (Aristotle 😉
Poverty, disease and ignorance are enemies of development in any country, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere said; See people are in shadow, covered by same umbrella suffering of these enemies; how could they get out of this umbrella? Still the riddle, the ones who have given power to lead us still embracing these enemies; corruption has been cancerous metastasizing in African countries, just see only few enjoy the national cake; they are keeping nation assets in pockets; whom one to listen the sharp cry of citizens who have left as voters.” Poverty devastates families, communities and nations. It causes instability and political unrest and fuels conflicts” (Kofi Annan 😉
It is so easy to break down and destroy. The heroes are those who make peace and build, said Nelson Mandela; the continent whose leaders come out with great promise and hope, at the end we are left suffering of hungers. Our fore leaders walked the long road to freedom; the road which was full of hills to climb, because of their spirit of fighting for independence they dare not linger until journey was ended. Let’s our leaders embrace our fore fathers spirit of fighting to deal with our enemy suffering; set his people free and enjoy in their blessed world’s resource rich continent.” I do not agree with those who believe that resources are a curse. Poverty is the greatest curse. We do not need to be taught that development is good for us. We are determined to be leaders of our development and to lift ourselves out of poverty” President Kagame.
Africans need committed leader, which encourage innovation with creating ideas; a leader that inspires others to share in common vision, Sets a good example and support others. Off-course yes if you don’t participate in politics you will end up governed by inferiors. (Plato ;). The world’s changes start from your response against different challenges no matter how small action is; get back to work and speed up your progress to make Africa continent we want and deserve.
Democracy is not healthy. Citizens voice have no power to influence decisions; leaders embraces their positions until they retire, then speak to the mass loudly ‘we are practicing democracy’, that’s the tragedy of Africa. The voice of sufferers is shouting; they dare not to listen. No security in homes and streets; sufferings still making headlines. The lowest citizen remains to be the lowest with desperate mind of being the highest; without democracy there cannot be peace. “Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, where individuals and nations are free” (14th Dalai Lama 😉
Overdependence on charity from external countries has emerged has way forward to deal with our enemy sufferings; why foreign aids while we are known world resource rich continent, see large acres of untilled land, Gold, Diamonds,Tanzanite. They are benefiting on our resources and use foreign aids as bait to keep enjoying over our resources. One of difficult thing is not to change the society but to change you; it is now our leaders to quit embracing foreign aids and hate aids in all its manifestation rather stick on creating good environment for utilizing resources productively to earn more to contain our problems. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, the president of Republic of Kenya at 5th African Union Summit addressed that “The future of our continent cannot be left to the good graces of outside interests. Dependency on giving that only appears to be charitable must end. Foreign aid which so often carries terms and conditions that preclude progress is not an acceptable basis for prosperity and freedom. It is time to give up..!!
Loans and aids with pressure conditions and big interest from the world Bank and IMF.”We have loans with big interest we can’t pay this loans in the expenses our child” This is true because poor countries cannot pay such loans with such big interest, when they fail to pay their debts increases. (Nyerere 😉
In this new century, many of the world’s poorest countries remain imprisoned, enslaved and in chains. They are trapped in the prison of poverty. It is time to set them free. Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural .It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by actions of human beings. (Nelson Mandela ;). The quality of change in our society will greatly depend upon the quality of leadership that is exercised; our hope for the future depends also on our resolution as nation to deal with scourge of corruption. It is in hands of leaders to make the world a better one for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized.
We cannot solve our problems by pretending that are not presents; leaders assume on absence of problems, they seek health services to Paris, Germany and others to India meaning they don’t believe in their home health system but where the poor could go when fall sick? How the poor could reach in Paris or India to seek for health services? Let our leader sit on table and discuss on resolution of our sufferings .A leader takes people where they want to go but now we need a great leader who can take people where they don’t necessary want to go but they ought to be.
President Barack Obama said”If poverty is a disease that infects the entire community in form of unemployment and violence, failing schools and broken homes, then we cannot just treat those symptoms in isolation. We have to heal the entire community”
Education is the weapon we can use to change the world not bullets; books not bullets can pave the way towards peace and prosperity. How Africans benefits from their native experts; we generate our experts from various field but we employ outsiders to run our economy; native experts are suffering of unemployment, when Africans could make a step to embrace their native experts fully? The quality of education system still a challenge, not supportive for a learner to exploit his environments; we are hiring foreigners to work in mining areas, contractions like roads, buildings ;when this will end in Africa, still a riddle. Africa needs quality and inclusive education; we need to create a culture which value learning.
It serves no purpose to hide the illness from which you are suffering; African needs leaders having clear and decisive leadership and the ones who respect for the differences. The respect for the poor has lost in jungle; the highest accumulates nation resources while the lowest die of hunger and diseases. A vote without food, shelter and health care would be to create the appearance of equality while actual inequality is entrenched. “Poverty and material inequality are enemies of lasting peace and stability” Nelson Mandela added.
